If your question is not here, call — a person answers.

Pricing & scheduling

<details class="ggb-faq__item">
How much does grab bar installation cost?+

Most single-bar installs land between $150 and $250 including the bar, and multi-bar bathrooms are quoted as a package. Tile, fiberglass, and walls with no usable framing take longer and cost more. You get the total in writing before we drill anything — the number we quote is the number you pay.

</details><details class="ggb-faq__item">
How fast can you come out?+

Most customers are scheduled within the same week. Hospital and rehab discharges get priority, so tell us the discharge date when you call and we will work around it.

</details><details class="ggb-faq__item">
Can a grab bar go on a tile wall?+

Yes. Tile is routine for us. We drill with diamond or carbide bits at low speed, seal every penetration with silicone, and anchor into the framing behind the tile. The risk is cracking, which is a technique problem, not a tile problem.

</details><details class="ggb-faq__item">
What if there is no stud where the bar needs to go?+

That is common, and it is the reason so many DIY installs fail. We either open a small section of wall to add solid blocking and patch it, span the studs with a backing plate, or use a code-rated toggle system tested to 250+ lb. Which one depends on the wall — we tell you before we start.

</details><details class="ggb-faq__item">
How much weight will the bar hold?+

We install to a 250 lb static load minimum, which is the ADA standard. In practice a stud-mounted bar with proper fasteners holds considerably more. We load test each bar in front of you at the end of the visit.

</details><details class="ggb-faq__item">
What if a bar loosens later?+

Call us and we come back at no charge. Our workmanship warranty on installation has no expiration date. Bars we did not install can be re-anchored for a service fee.

</details><details class="ggb-faq__item">
Do you rent grab bars or install in apartments?+

We install in apartments and rentals regularly. Get written landlord permission first, or ask us about tub clamp rails and tension poles that need no wall penetration. We can also remove and patch on move-out.

</details>

The appointment

<details class="ggb-faq__item">
How fast can you come out?+

Most customers are scheduled within the same week. If you want a specific finish or a decorative bar, buy it and we will install it — as long as it is a real load-rated bar and not a suction-cup product.

</details><details class="ggb-faq__item">
How long does the appointment take?+

A single bar takes 45 to 60 minutes. A typical bathroom with two or three bars takes about 90 minutes. Whole-home projects with handrails and entry work can run half a day.

</details><details class="ggb-faq__item">
Will you make a mess?+

We use drop cloths, shoe covers, and a vacuum at the drill. The bathroom is left cleaner than we found it. Drilling tile makes dust; catching it is part of the job.

</details>

Assessments

<details class="ggb-faq__item">
What happens during a home safety evaluation?+

An occupational therapist or Certified Aging-in-Place Specialist walks the home with you, watches your real transfers — bed, toilet, shower, chair, car — and reviews lighting, flooring, thresholds, and your path to the bathroom at night. You get a written report with photos and a prioritized list.

</details><details class="ggb-faq__item">
Is the evaluation a sales pitch?+

No. The report routinely recommends things we do not sell, including free changes like moving a rug or adding a nightlight. If the honest answer is that you need one bar and nothing else, that is what the report says.

</details><details class="ggb-faq__item">
Can you work with my home health agency or discharge planner?+

Yes, with your permission. We regularly coordinate with case managers, discharge planners, and home health therapists, and we can send them a copy of the report and photos of the finished install.

</details>

Insurance & payment

<details class="ggb-faq__item">
Does Medicare pay for grab bars?+

Standard Medicare Part B does not cover grab bars, because they are classified as home modifications rather than durable medical equipment. Some Medicare Advantage plans include a home-modification or in-home-support benefit, and Medicaid waiver programs, VA programs, and long-term care policies sometimes do. We provide itemized documentation you can submit, but we cannot promise any payer's decision.

</details><details class="ggb-faq__item">
Can you bill my insurance directly?+

No. We take payment at completion by card, check, or transfer, and hand you the paperwork to submit for reimbursement if your plan has that benefit.

</details>

One bathroom fall can change everything.

Most of our installs are done in a single visit, often within the same week.
